San Pancho Stories is a simple idea:

Capture and share the personal stories of people connected to San Pancho—what they experienced, what they found, and in some cases, what they helped build.

San Pancho has evolved through the people who have come, stayed, and contributed. These stories capture that history in a personal way—one experience at a time.

But something else happens when people write their story.

They don’t just remember—they feel it again.

What drew them here.

What changed in them.

Why this place became part of their life.

That process often brings a sense of clarity, calm, and connection—something close to mindfulness, simply by putting the experience into words.

“I didn’t expect it, but writing this brought me right back to why I love being here.”

Most stories begin as a simple outline—just a few notes in the author’s own words. That outline is turned into a draft using ChatGPT, and then reviewed and edited so it reflects their voice. No writing experience—or ChatGPT experience—is required.

Others are contributed by people wherever they live.

All stories are organized using the San Pancho Stories Pyramid.

This project was started by Don Lundgren to help people tell their stories and in doing so, reconnect with what San Pancho has meant to them, while preserving part of its evolving history.
